TACOMA — Authorities are investigating the death of a man struck by a train north of Tacoma.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas said the northbound coal train struck a trespasser around 3 p.m. on Monday. He said three passenger trains face temporary delays as officials on site investigate the matter.
Melonas said the train used its emergency brake but ultimately struck the person on the tracks.
