EVERETT — A home-invasion robbery in south Everett on Monday morning involved heroin, a gun and a medieval-style sword.
Three men were arrested and being held Tuesday for investigation of robbery and burglary. The holdup was reported about 7:45 a.m. Monday at an apartment along 128th Street SE in south Everett, according to the arrest reports.
The suspects reportedly were armed with a semi-automatic pistol, a sword and an electronic stun gun. They walked into the apartment of some acquaintances and threatened to kill them. The suspects rummaged through the apartment and stole items including a cellphone.
During the commotion, one of the victims jumped from a second-story window. Another was cut on the shoulder with the sword.
One of the victims needed medical treatment at a hospital.
Police quickly caught up with the suspects at a home along Wetmore Avenue in Everett. A witness had provided their license plate from the victims’ apartment complex.
Someone at the suspects’ house reportedly told police the men had left early that morning with a gun, saying they were “going to get money.”
One of the suspects allegedly told detectives that the robbery involved a drug deal that had gone south.
