Snohomish County given clean audit by state

Snohomish County received a clean audit after a state review of its financial statements and management of federally funded programs last year.
The report issued Monday by the office of State Auditor Troy Kelley covers Jan. 1, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2012. The county reported $1.1 billion in total assets at the end of that year.
Federal programs reviewed by the audit included aspects of Community Development Block Grants, the Airport Improvement Program, federal energy grants, Head Start and Medicaid.
