Mukilteo School District teachers and administrators will head back to the bargaining table on Tuesday after talks this week ended in “a stalemate,” according to union officials.
But key school calendar dates for 2013-14 are set.
School is slated to start Sept. 4. Winter break is set for Dec. 23-Jan. 3 and spring break for April 7-11.
The current collective bargaining agreement between the district and Mukilteo Education Association expires on Aug. 31. Union members say there has been little movement on teachers’ “priority issues.” A general membership meeting is scheduled for Aug. 28, where teachers hope to vote on a tentative agreement.
“It’s continuing, and that’s really all I can say at this point,” said Andy Muntz, a school district spokesman.
