Bomb threat disrupts Port Townsend ferry service
The Peninsula Daily News reported that state troopers, bomb-sniffing dogs and other law enforcement officers searched the two Port Townsend ferries, the Port Townsend terminal, parking lot and docks -- but found nothing.
The ferry system announced that service was back to normal with the 8:30 p.m. Port Townsend run to Coupeville and the 9:15 p.m. Coupeville sailing to Port Townsend.
The closure lasted about 3 ˝ hours.
The State Patrol says the threat came in a text message that indicated a bomb on a ferry or at the Port Townsend terminal.
