Edit foul mouths from the letters

I am disappointed in the printing of the Sunday letter, "Keep government paws off of e-cigs." Not so much because of the message of the letter, which by the way I do not agree with. My taxes seem to be paying for the self-polluting personal rights of individuals that believe that they can do whatever they want with their bodies and then expect the taxpayer to pick up the tab for their health care.
My problem with this letter is the cussing in the form of initials that do not hide the meaning of this person's rant and rave. It is tacky and classless. I would encourage the Herald to step up their review of this type of potty mouth talk and refuse to publish foul mouthed individual's letters. Society has sunk to new lows with language, but I would expect The Herald to maintain a polite level of what they print.
Perhaps you should have those fifth graders edit your letters as suggested by another Sunday letter writer.
