MILL CREEK -- No injuries were reported Thursday after an attic fire in the 2400 block of 182nd Place SE, just south of Mill Creek.
The homeowners heard a smoke alarm, went outside and called 911 about 10 p.m., said Autumn Waite, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Fire District 7. Two cats also got out safely.
Fire crews kept the fire from spreading, Waite said. They were assessing the damage Friday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
