SPOKANE — Burglars in Spokane stole championship hardware belonging to former Gonzaga basketball star Adam Morrison.
The Spokesman-Review reports three men are now in county jail on residential burglary charges. Court documents allege the three men broke into the home of Morrison’s parents in Spokane.
When police found one of the suspects driving, they found a conference championship ring belonging to Morrison in his car.
Morrison, who was picked third overall in the 2006 NBA draft, won three West Coast Conference tournament championships with the Zags from 2003-2006. He went on to play in the NBA for the Charlotte Bobcats, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards before competing in Europe. He retired from professional basketball last year.
