Associated Press
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says a hiker died after falling from a trail in the Columbia River Gorge.
Lt. Steve Alexander said the man fell Saturday from near the top of the Angel's Rest trail. The man was hiking with a woman when he fell an estimated 75 feet. The woman called 911, leading rescue workers to the area.
The hiker's name won't be released until after his relatives have been notified.
