Tuesday

Idris Elba is back on the beat in “Luther” as tormented Detective Chief Inspector John Luther. The final four-part chapter of this blistering British drama series is darker than ever as Luther splits time between two horrific crime investigations. 10 p.m. Tuesday, BBC America.

Friday

Queen Latifah hosts and narrates “Teach.” It’s a two-hour special that explores America’s education system through the eyes, minds and hearts of four public-school instructors. 8 p.m., CBS.
