SEATTLE — A man who robbed a Seattle jewelry store, then shot a hotel doorman who brought him down, has been sentenced to 41 years in prison.
The Seattle Times reports 36-year-old Edmond Maynor of Lynnwood was convicted by a King County Superior Court jury in June of one count of first-degree robbery, one count of second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree assault.
Because each of the crimes was committed with the aid of a handgun, a mandatory five-year additional sentence was added for each offense, according to prosecutors. Maynor was sentenced Friday.
