Man arrested on fugitive warrant at Evergreen Fair

MONROE -- Seattle Police arrested a 38-year-old employee of Butler Amusements at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for forgery out of St. Joseph County, Indiana.
He was arrested on Friday with the support of the Snohomish County Sheriff's office and Butler Amusements. County authorities say they have found no evidence that the man engaged in any illegal activity while working at the fair.
County officials say the fair and Butler Amusements both do background checks of their employees. The fair changed its policy on background checks last year after the Snohomish County Sheriff's office discovered that a woman working at the "kiddie land" section of the fair was awaiting trial on child molestation charges.
