LAKEWOOD -- Lakewood police say one of their narcotics-detection dogs, a 10-year-old lab retriever mix, has been found after chewing his way out of his kennel during a storm.
Lt. Chris Lawler said earlier that Duke likely broke out because he was scared by Thursday's thunder.
The dog ran away from his handler's home in the Spanaway-Graham area.
Lawler did not have immediate details Friday afternoon on the dog's recovery.
Duke has been with the department for more than six years.
