The Wildcats led 7-6 at halftime before a couple of mistakes cost them the lead in the third quarter. Quarterback Nolan Rogge had a pass intercepted and returned for a touchdown to give the Vikings a 12-7 lead. North Kitsap converted a two-point conversion to take a 14-7 lead.
Later in the half, the Wildcats lined up for a punt deep in their own territory. The ball was snapped over the punters head and the Vikings took over at the Wildcats' 10-yard-line and scored moments later to take a 21-7 lead.
But the Wildcats responded with a strong fourth quarter.
Rogge scored on a quarterback keeper with eight minutes to play to cut the deficit to seven.
The Wildcats took over possession again, still trailing by seven with two minutes to play in the game and put together their best drive of the night, driving 70 yards capped off by another Rogge touchdown run.
Trailing by one, the Wildcats elected to go for two and the win and converted on a Rogge to Conner Longoria.
Rogge finished 18-for-26 with 202 yards, one touchdown and an interception to go along with his two rushing touchdowns. Longoria finished with 10 catches for 165 yards and a first-half touchdown.
