SEATTLE — Police in Seattle say the driver of a loaded recycling truck lost control of the truck Tuesday afternoon and collided with four parked vehicles in downtown Seattle. Two of the vehicles caught fire.
Police said the truck driver suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to Harborview Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.
Flames shot from one vehicle that also sent up a dark smoke column visible for several blocks.
Detective Jeff Kappel said the truck and the last vehicle to be hit ended up against a building.
Police are investigating why the driver lost control.
