EDMONDS — Hannah Taylor scored twice in the game’s first 12 minutes and Kiana Steed added a late goal as Meadowdale beat Marysville Pilchuck in a Wesco 3A crossover game.
Meadowdale coach Wade Foley was impressed with the play of Taylor, who scored in the fourth and 12th minutes, the second goal assisted by Kendall Raekers.
“For a freshman to come out and play that well in her first game was pretty impressive,” Foley said. Taylor didn’t play in the game’s final 25 minutes due to being “knocked around a little bit.” But according to Foley the freshman checked out fine after the game.
