SNOHOMISH -- Monroe had goals early and late for a win over Snohomish in both teams' league opener. Madison Bradley struck first, scoring in the second minute. Ellie Otteson tied it up, scoring off a Hannah Nicholson assist just before halftime. Jamie Hawkings put in the decider for the Bearcats with 70 minutes gone. Goalkeeper Sydney Day held the Panthers to one goal.
At Veterans Memorial Stadium
Goals--Madison Bradley (M), Ellie Otteson (S), Jamie Hawkins (M). Assists--Hannah Nicholson (S), Monroe assists not reported. Goalkeepers--Monroe: Sydney Day. Snohomish: Taylor Knapinski, Niki Denk. Records--Monroe 1-0-0 league, 1-1-0 overall. Snohomish 0-1-0, 0-1-0.
