Published:
EDMONDS -- A 27-year-old Edmonds man who was shot and wounded by police last weekend was listed Tuesday in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Police allege that the man leveled a rifle at officers before he was shot, said Everett police officer Aaron Snell, a spokesman for the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team, which investigates cases where officers use potentially fatal force.
The shooting happened about 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Puget Drive in Edmonds.
The suspect has a history of mental health problems, Snell said Tuesday.
The man is expected to be booked into jail for investigation of assault after he is released from the hospital.
