WHAT: Moulin Rouge (Helianthus annuus) is one of the most majestic sunflowers for the garden. Its velvety flowers of burgundy and deep chocolate reach 6 to 8 inches across. Moulin Rouge blooms from midsummer to midfall.
It is an annual and its seeds can be planted out after danger of frost has passed, planting the seeds in the location where the plant will grow and not be transplanted.
SUN OR SHADE: Requires full sun.
SIZE: The tall sturdy stems grow 5- to 7-feet tall and are lovely planted among dahlias or as its own border
