Associated Press
RICHLAND -- A man walked into the Richland police station early Thursday and said he believed he had killed his girlfriend.
KNDO reported that Lawrence Arnold Miller told officers he stabbed her several times because he found out she had a new boyfriend.
Police found 32-year-old Rebeca Vandeventer with multiple stab wounds in the chest. Her two children, ages 2 and 6, went to a neighbor's apartment for help.
Lawrence Arnold Miller was booked into the Benton County Jail for investigation of murder. The 34-year-old was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon.
