Prep volleyball: Everett 3, Glacier Peak 2

SNOHOMISH -- Behind Tenika Wentworth's 38 assists and 11 kills from Lauren Stiger, Everett outlasted Glacier Peak in five sets in a nonconference match. Despite the fact the wins don't count in the Wesco 3A standings, the Seagulls now have two five-set victories over Wesco 3A teams that they will likely battle for a league supremacy this season. Caitlyn Johnson had 15 kills and Anika Sturlaugson recorded 29 digs for the Grizzlies.
At Glacier Peak H.S.
Everett 26 27 17 25 15 -- 3
Glacier Peak 24 29 25 15 11 -- 2
Highlights--Everett: Lauren Stiger 11 kills; Tenika Wentworth 38 assists; Kayla Heman 10 digs. Glacier Peak: Caitlyn Johnson 15 kills; Sara McNaughton 31 assists; Anika Sturlaugson 29 digs. Records--Everett 2-0 overall. Glacier Peak 1-1.
