SNOQUALMIE — The Washington State Patrol says an 80-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle accident Friday evening on I-90 about 25 miles east of Seattle.
Trooper Chris Webb says the elderly man driving a red pickup apparently swerved to avoid a cooler in the roadway and collided with an SUV. Both came to rest in the median.
Medics began CPR on the pickup driver and transported him to Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. Webb says the North Bend man was pronounced dead. He was not immediately identified.
KOMO-TV reports the SUV driver was not injured.
