ARLINGTON — A woman died in a house fire near Arlington on Saturday night, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman’s name was not released Sunday. She was 49 or 50 years old, said Lt. Kathi Lang of the Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, she said.
The fire was reported at 8:51 p.m. Saturday in the 10600 block of Jim Creek Road, in the Trafton area. Fire crews from Snohomish County Fire District 21 and the cities of Arlington and Marysville were among those who responded.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire, Lang said. A damage total was not available.
It’s believed no one else was in the house when the fire started, Lang said.
