Prep Athletes of the Week

The best prep performances for the week of Sept. 9-14

Austin Hall
Football | Kamiak
The Knights running back and defensive back rushed for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns and had four interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in Kamiak’s 49-7 win over Marysville Getchell.
How it was decided: Shorewood's Austin Upton won the fan vote. Hall received votes from Aaron Swaney and Jon Saperstein. Aaron Lommers voted for Cascade's Josh Smith, Rich Myhre voted for Kamiak's Thomas Batie and David Krueger voted for Dejon Devroe. Each Herald writer who attends Friday night's games receives a vote in the Prep Football Player of the Week poll.
Emily Critchlow

The Mavericks forward scored four goals in Thursday’s 8-1 win over Highline and had one assist in last Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Marysville Pilchuck.
Tenika Wentworth
Volleyball | Everett
The Seagulls setter totaled 38 assists in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Stanwood and matched that total in Thursday’s 3-2 win over Glacier Peak.
Patrick Chung

The Bruins No. 1 singles player won both of his matches last week without dropping a set to lead Cascade to a pair of 4-3 wins over Lynnwood and Everett.
Douglas Davis

The Cougars harrier finished Saturday’s UW Sundodger Invite in 16th place in a time of 15 minutes, 34.15 seconds. It was the highest placer by a 2A competitor.
