School district faces $1M lawsuit over teacher sex

OTHELLO -- The lawyer for the family of a 10-year-old boy who was molested by his teacher says they intend to sue Othello School District for $1 million.
Attorney Ryan Earl told KXLY the district needs better policies and procedures to discourage sexual abuse by teachers.
On Monday, 48-year-old Lisa Davis pleaded guilty to child molestation for contact last April and May with one of her fifth-graders at Scootney Springs Elementary School.
