FAIRBANKS, Alaska — The Fairbanks Children’s Museum will have a temporary home at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum of the North.
The children’s museum has had a series of mobile events since it was created two years ago. The Museum of the North is offering use of its 2,000-square-foot auditorium over the winter months to the children’s museum, which is still seeking a permanent home and funding for it.
Opening date for the children’s museum is Oct. 1.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the children’s museum also has received a $25,000 donation from the University of Alaska College Savings Plan for a special exhibit. The donation is over four years.
