Thanks to everyone who made the Celebration of the Little Red School House 50th anniversary so special. The Village Voices Band, Tim Noah, and the Linzemen added a musical backdrop to the event throughout the day. Sterling Bank employees and kids from Youth United volunteered through United Way’s Day of Caring to run carnival games and other important tasks. Staff and board members helped with registration, cooking, photography, and a myriad of other details.
John Holmes of Final Take Productions took video footage throughout the day. Everett Clinic, the ARC, Community Transit (including Oxy Gene) were there providing information. The firefighters from Fire District 7 showed kids a fire engine and aid car. County Executive John Lovick helped us reflect on past accomplishments and set the stage for Board President Amy Drewel’s announcement of our new name. Tulalip Tribes and Community Transit were financial sponsors, making it all possible. Finally, current and past families, community friends, staff and board members enjoyed a day filled with games, music and food at beautiful Willis Tucker Park. We are forever grateful for each contribution to a wonderful celebration of 50 years of service!
