MOSES LAKE -- The Grant County Sheriff's Office says deputy U.S. marshals have tracked down a murder suspect in Spokane Valley.
Anthony J. Vasquez was wanted in the fatal shooting of Juan Garcia on Tuesday night. Garcia was killed in a car in the parking lot of Airport Grocery Mart in Moses Lake. His girlfriend and her 6-year-old son were in the car at the time, but were not injured.
Spokane police and U.S. marshals surrounded a house in Spokane Valley on Saturday night after learning Vasquez was there. Spokane police say they tried to get him to surrender, but he bolted out a back door and was tracked down by a police dog and captured about 9:30 p.m.
On Thursday night investigators arrested a man accused of driving Vasquez's getaway car, Alejandro Manzo.
Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said in a news release Saturday that citizens called in hundreds of tips about the shooting.
