It’s poetry in motion at Uppercase Bookshop on Friday when two Northwest poets give readings and talk about their art.
John Williams of Portland, Ore., introduces his debut collection, “Controlled Hallucinations.” The prize-winning poet is the editor of The Inflectionist Review and co-director of the Walt Whitman 150 project, a Portland group that honors Whitman’s legacy and his inspiration.
Seattle poet Amber Nelson is co-founder and poetry editor of the Alice Blue review, as well as the founding editor of Alice Blue Books and “Shotgun Wedding,” a series of chapbooks (pocket-size books) of Pacific Northwest poetry.
The readings begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Uppercase Bookshop, 1118 First St., Snohomish.
