John Williams of Portland, Ore., introduces his debut collection, "Controlled Hallucinations." The prize-winning poet is the editor of The Inflectionist Review and co-director of the Walt Whitman 150 project, a Portland group that honors Whitman's legacy and his inspiration.
Seattle poet Amber Nelson is co-founder and poetry editor of the Alice Blue review, as well as the founding editor of Alice Blue Books and "Shotgun Wedding," a series of chapbooks (pocket-size books) of Pacific Northwest poetry.
The readings begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Uppercase Bookshop, 1118 First St., Snohomish.
