YAKIMA — A Yakima doctor is accused of raping a patient during a pelvic exam.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that Dr. Fady Sabry was arrested Friday and appeared Monday in court where bail was set at $1 million.
Police said Sabry assaulted a woman during an Aug. 30 exam he later called a pelvic massage. He did not wear gloves or bill for the procedure.
After the woman reported the incident to police she recorded a follow-up visit in which she confronted the doctor.
He was arrested for investigation of second-degree rape.
