Wholeheartedly do I agree with letter writer about the need for Sunday bus service. (“We need to fund public transit”). Working third shift in Bothell, stocking at a grocery store, my son takes the bus from south Everett when he can’t get a ride. It’s a two-hour, two-bus journey from Everett to Bothell in the evening, but he does it. Except for Sunday mornings or Sunday nights. No bus option. When he works a four or six-hour shift starting at 10 p.m., I sometimes pick him up at 2 or 4 in the morning like I did last night. His only other option, which he does, is walk the nine miles home in the middle of the night. Good for character building and a good story to tell his kids in the future, about walking home 9 miles after making $36 in four hours. But the option to wait for the morning bus doesn’t exist on Sundays.
