Fix it again, Boeing

Covered by warranty: Boeing Commercial Airplanes chief Ray Conner flew to Norway this week to smooth things over after a series of Dreamliner glitches grounded a number of Norwegian Air flights.

The Norwegians were irked about the breakdowns, but were somewhat mollified by Boeing's offer of free coffee, doughnuts and wi-fi in the waiting room and a complimentary 777 service loaner.

Live, from New York . . . : "Saturday Night Live" returns this weekend for its 39th season premiere.

Naked terror: In Pennsylvania, a Halloween attraction's plan to allow people to go through one of its haunted houses in the nude was scaled back Thursday amid opposition from local officials (Page A11.

Had the plan gone forward, this would be the first haunted house in history where most of the customers were probably going to be scarier than the exhibits -- unless, of course, the proprietors enforced a strict "Underwear Models Only" admission policy.
