Nancy Campbell announced an open house on the third anniversary of Nancy's Styling Salon, 8432 E. Xavier. She invited the public to come in and meet Kay Villers, who specialized in hair styling.
Three brothers of the Gerhart Tuengel family of Route 1 in Snohomish, all sailors stationed in the San Francisco Bay area, were together as Virgil Tuengel, SK-1, took the oath for his fourth re-enlistment, a four-year hitch that would complete a 20-year tour of duty in 1967. The others were Fred, AK-2, a six year sailor, and Rod (AB) AA, in his first year of duty.

Football players at North Middle School ran into a heavy dose of fall dampness during practice. Only team managers Holly Colwell and Nikki Papadimitriou had golf umbrellas during the coach's instruction. About 0.4 inches of rain fell on Everett yesterday.
A 30-year lease was approved by the Lynnwood City Council yesterday so the city could move forward with developing a golf course on land adjacent to Edmonds Community College. Mayor M.J. Hrdlicka said the course would be a fine recreational facility for thousands of people in south county.
