BELLINGHAM — A Western Washington University student has reported a sexual assault near campus.
The Bellingham Herald reported the 22-year-old student reported being sexually assaulted by two men early Saturday morning.
Bellingham police said the attack happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Bellingham Police Sgt. Ken Brown says it was reported to police at 10 a.m. when a friend of the victim contacted police.
Brown said the woman had been drinking downtown and was walking home alone when two men approached her and threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. They were apparently scared by something and ran away.
