Monday Seahawks links

Plenty out there to read about Seattle’s latest dominant victory, including my five takeaways from the game in today’s Herald.

If you want to hear Pete Carroll’s day-after take on the win, you can listen to his weekly spot on 710 ESPN Seattle here:

Speaking of 710 ESPN, Danny O’Neil says Seattle’s defense is back to its championship form.

As has been the case all season, the Seahawks got huge ratings for their latest game.

Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback column has a few Seahawks-related items, including a bit on Dan Quinn’s chances at being a head coach soon, and Russell Wilson being one of King’s offensive players of the week.

Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks says the Eagles were exposed by Seattle in a game that was a “thorough butt-kicking.

Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report writes that the Seahawks and Russell Wilson are peaking at the right time.

Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson says the Seahawks will rely on Russell Wilson to make up for front office mistakes (letting Tate walk, Harvin not working out, etc.). Seahawks fans will disagree with parts of the article, which overall paints a pretty negative picture, but it’s an interesting read, nonetheless.

Grantland.com’s Bill Barnwell looks at what’s wrong with San Francisco’s offense, which is relevant not just because of Seahawks fans’ schadenfreude, but also because the Seahawks host the 49ers this week.

Starting pitching, a renovated offense and regression in the AL West are in Seattle’s favor, but injury issues, bullpen concerns and the Houston Astros could be a problem.
