SMOKEY POINT — A Mount Vernon woman was killed early Monday when the car she was driving hit a sign while exiting I-5 at Smokey Point, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The identity of the woman, 28, was not released pending notification of family.
Troopers say she was driving north on I-5 and exited at 172nd Street NE just before 3 a.m.. The Acura drifted off the roadway, struck a sign and rolled.
Troopers were investigating whether speed played a role in the crash.
