MONROE — Two elementary schools in Monroe were forced to cancel classes Tuesday because of a broken water line in the area.
The broken line, located at the intersection of Brown and Ingraham roads, serves the area surrounding Chain Lake and Salem Woods Elementary schools.
Repairs were under way early Tuesday morning but the line couldn’t be fixed before the start of the school day.
Houses along 227th Avenue, Ingraham, Brown and Wagner roads may be without water service or have low pressure. City crews are hoping to restore service by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
