Snider, a former Jackson High School standout, hit .215 with five home runs and 25 RBI in 111 games with the Pirates this season.
Should Snider play in Tuesday's game -- he was not Pittsburgh's starting lineup -- it would be the first postseason appearance of his six-year major-league career.
