Is CenturyLink Field going to get even louder next season? Perhaps, because the team is exploring the option of expanding seating by 2,000-3,000, which would up capacity in the stadium to roughly 70,000. Fox Sports first reported the news, you can read their story here. If the Seahawks do add seats, they would be doing so in upper level of the south end where there is a break in the upper deck seating.
The Seahawks, who cap season tickets at 62,000, had a 98 percent renewal rate this season, and have a waiting list, dubbed Blue Pride, of approximately 12,000 fans. Additionally, what single game tickets were available sold out almost immediately this season.
