EVERETT — Two downtown buildings were cleared out Friday morning after reports of smoke coming from roof vents.
The incident was reported around 9 a.m. in the 1600 block of Hewitt Avenue. A part of the road was blocked off for a short time while firefighters investigated.
Crews searched the buildings. They didn’t find any smoke or fire inside.
