The incident happened about 2:45 a.m. Sept. 20. Two people were crossing 220th Street SW on the eastside of Highway 99. They were midway through the crosswalk when they were struck by a pickup, Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said.
The driver failed to stop and was last seen headed west on 220th Street SW toward 76th Avenue W. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a mid-2000s Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. It had a missing tailgate and black bed liner. It may have damage to the passenger door area. The driver's door mirror also may be broken or recently replaced.
The victims, a 38-year-old Mountlake Terrace woman and a 36-year-old Everett man, were hurt and hospitalized for their injuries.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Edmonds police officer Tony Collins at 425-771-0200.
