I want to thank the Greater Marysville/Tulalip Chamber for hosting another great candidate forum. As a resident and a voter in Marysville, I appreciate opportunities like this to hear directly from individuals wishing to represent our city. The forum featured the candidates for Marysville City Council and after the conclusion of the event it could not be any clearer who the best fit to represent our community are. Kamille Norton, Jeffrey Vaughn and Jeff Siebert proved that they are best equipped to hold office. Their knowledge and ability to understand the importance of partnerships, fiscal responsibility and public safety place them light years beyond their opponents.
I am most impressed with the knowledge and passion that Kamille Norton brings to the group. It is not only important to elect representatives with a working knowledge of the community, it is critical that the candidates can relate to the families in which they serve. Norton does just that! As a mother of four children and an active volunteer in the community, she brings a delicate balance to our city government. To top it off, she proved at the forum that she knows how to get things accomplished, and unlike her opponent Scott Allen, she can actually articulate her vision for the future.
I believe in our city, and I am confident that in order for it to continue to improve we need to elect Kamille Norton, Jeffrey Vaughn and Jeff Seibert. They have proven that through hard work and partnership our community can thrive!
