LYNNWOOD — A man’s body was found by walkers on Sunday afternoon at a Lynnwood park.
Police on Monday were waiting for autopsy results, but the death did not appear suspicious, officials said.
The couple who found the body were talking a stroll in Gold Park, 6421 200th St. SW, around 4 p.m. Sunday. The man appeared to be about 50 years old.
The body was turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how he died.
The medical examiner also will make the formal identification, police said.
“This death does not appear to be suspicious at this time or the result of criminal activity,” Lisa Wellington, Lynnwood Police Department spokeswoman, said in a press release. “There is no further criminal investigation into this matter and there is no threat to the public.”
