Eagles' Jackson: I'm too fast for Bucs' Revis
"I don't think he can run with me, I don't think he's as fast as me," the Eagles receiver said. "It'll be a challenge. He's a great player. Nothing to take away from him."
Revis is a four-time Pro Bowler and former AFC defensive player of the year. When the Eagles played the Jets while Revis was in New York, Jackson said Revis followed him around the field. Jackson was limited to two catches for 28 yards that game.
Revis is known as a cornerback who can shut down opposing receivers. Jackson has repeatedly said that he doesn't think any cornerback can stop him one-on-one.
"That definitely goes for whoever," Jackson said. "Any guy trying to guard me one-on-one in man coverage definitely feels my speed, my ability to (be a) deep threat, go down field, do whatever it is I need to do."
The Buccaneers play a different scheme than the Jets, so it will be interesting to watch how they use Revis. He has one interception this season. Opposing receivers have caught 12 of 22 passes targeted in his direction, according to Pro Football Focus. The website grades Revis as the NFL's No. 2 cornerback this season.
"I love facing guys that have the ability to go out there and be a shutdown corner," Jackson said. "Any time you face a guy like that going into a game, it gets the best out of you."
