The Tomahawks running back ran for 188 yards and five touchdowns as MP defeated crosstown rival Marysville Getchell.
Counting the votes: Oak Harbor's Sheyenne Sams won the fan vote. Herald writers Aaron Lommers, Aaron Swaney and David Krueger voted for Joyner.

Jackson's No. 1 singles player handed Arlington's Trent Sarver his first loss of the season defeating him 6-3, 6-4 in the Timberwolves 7-0 victory over the Eagles.

The Meadowdale senior had 11 kills and three aces in the Mavericks 3-0 win over Marysville Getchell and 16 kills in a 3-1 victory over Everett.

The sophomore midfielder scored six goals in two games as the Eagles defeated Mariner and Cascade and remained in first place in the Wesco 4A North.

The Eagles harrier finished first with a time of 16:02 as Arlington beat Monroe and Everett last week.
Madison Pressler
Jackson | Girls Swimming
Pressler won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.88 and the 500 freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 5:20.75 in the Timberwolves 118-52 victory over Meadowdale.
