Must see show: The Grizzled Mighty and Motopony

This Saturday night things are going to get loud when Seattle rock duo The Grizzled might and their friends Motopony and Battle Me take over the Tractor Tavern in Ballard. This bill is really out of hand. If you just told me the bands playing this show I wouldn’t be able to tell you who the headliner was — that’s how good it is.

This will be your last chance to catch the Grizzled Mighty live in the Seattle area this year, which is something you should always take advantage of. There really is no legitimate excuse for missing a chance to see Ryan Granger shred his guitar and Whitney Petty crash her drums while spitting beer into the air and screaming at the crowd. It doesn’t sound possible but I’ve seen her do it and it’s incredible.

It will likely be a great chance to see Motopony play some songs from their new album. I don’t know what the new Motopony album is going to be called or when it will be release, but everybody I know who has heard it says it’s the greatest thing they have heard in a long time. One of those people looked me in the eye the other day and said “Steven, you don’t understand, it’s incredible” — that’s coming from someone who doesn’t hand out praise often.

If that wasn’t reason enough to be at this show all of have to do is remember that Battle Me will be up from Portland as well. These guys have been featured in the hit TV show Sons of Anarchy multiple times and their new EP was just released this week and it sounds too good.

You really don’t want to miss this. Tickets are $10 advance or $12 at the door.
