Martin David Pietz, 36, was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Nicole Pietz, 32.
Prosecutors alleged that Martin Pietz killed his wife, dumped her body about 30 miles away and then lied to cover up his involvement.
The defendant was arrested in March 2012 and charged with second-degree murder. His trial has been underway for weeks in King County Superior Court.
Martin Pietz reported his wife missing after she didn't show up for dinner with friends on Jan. 28, 2006.
About a week later, a passerby found the slain woman in King County. She was naked and appeared to have been carefully placed in muddy brush. She had been strangled. She'd also had injuries to her head and legs.
Prosecutors alleged that the couple's marriage was in turmoil and that he'd been cheating on her.
