SNOHOMISH — A horse seized from its owner in September is doing better after three weeks of care, according to a news release.
Snohomish police have recommended animal cruelty charges against the horse’s owner, alleging neglect. Another horse, Scout, had to be euthanized due to its condition.
The surviving horse, Atticus, is staying at an animal-rescue site. He still needs to regain a lot of weight.
Earlier this month, Snohomish police asked for community donations to help with the horse’s care. For more info, visit safehorses.org or the Snohomish Police Department on Maple Avenue.
