EVERETT — Police are investigating a robbery reported at a north Everett espresso stand on Tuesday morning.
It happened just before 11 a.m. in the 2000 block of Broadway, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said. That stand, and stands nearby, have been targeted by robbers repeatedly over the years.
A man approached the stand, ordered a drink and told the barista to give him money, Snell said. The man reportedly told the barista he needed the cash for his daughter, who is sick. No weapon was seen.
A police dog search for the suspect was unsuccessful.
A description of the suspect was limited, Snell said. He was believed to be young, white and had scruffy facial hair. He wore blue jeans and a black hoodie.
